Italian Tourism Awards 2025 - The Night of Excellence

Now in its sixth edition, the Italian Tourism Awards is a prize created by Deborah Garlando, CEO of MHR - Media Hotel Radio, the only web radio entirely dedicated to the tourism and hospitality industry. This unique event was created to celebrate all those excellences that help make Italian tourism an international benchmark, also in terms of sustainability and innovation, while recognizing the professionals and experts working in hospitality and travel. The task of selecting, from more than 300 candidates, the 45 finalists across the 15 competition categories was entrusted to a jury composed of industry experts and chaired this year by Palmiro Noschese. At stake is the Golden Microphone, the symbol of MHR, awarded to those who have left a mark on the Italian tourism industry. The competition categories are: Italian Destinations, Hotels, New Hospitality, Restaurant & Food, Spa & Wellness, Welcome Travel Italy, International, Transport & Mobility, Major Events, Innovation, Sustainable Tourism, Start-Ups, Media & Travel Stories, Manager of the Year, and Woman in Tourism – the Elena David Award. The finalist shortlists for each category were revealed on December 2. The award ceremony, which has now become an unmissable event for the entire sector, takes place on December 10, 2025, in the Ritz Hall of the historic The St. Regis Rome, a symbol of elegance and prestige, and will be broadcast on December 16 on Rai 2 during the late evening schedule. During the final evening, hosted by Gabriella Carlucci, directed by Luca Alcini and accompanied by music from 7 Hills Gospel Choir, internationally renowned stars are expected to attend, including Flavio Cobolli, Filippo Magnini, and Simone De Pasquale. The audience in attendance will choose the winner of the “Star Night Award,” the popular prize assigned based on audience voting in the hall. The initiative is supported by the Ministero del Turismo, Roma Capitale Assessorato Grandi Eventi, Sport, Turismo e Moda, ENIT, Regione Lazio, and a wide network of prestigious partners.
